Looking to take your closet organization to the next level? These hacks will help transform any of your clothing closets into a place you'll enjoy to visit!
Unfortunately, I am not blessed with my dream closets in the house (they're actually far from it haha). However, I didn't let this stop me when it came to transforming the space that I do have.
You can certainly utilize whatever closet space you have in a way that helps you keep it organized so you can find what you are looking for quickly.
There are many affordable items you can pick up that will turn any closet into a super functional space.
Some of the things this post will cover are various types of hangers, organizers, lights, dust bags, shoe inserts and more!
This post is all about closet organization!
Small Closet Organization
As I mentioned previously, our closets are on the smaller side. I love finding products that help me get as many items in the closet as possible without making it feel cluttered.
The hangers and items below are all designed to help give your closet a cohesive look and help save space.
Everyone has pesky items that they need to store and there are some great organization solutions that help give everything a home.
Slim Velvet Hangers
These are the only standard hangers you will find in my closets. There is nothing more annoying than clothes falling off the hangers or having to use the hanger loops sewn into clothes. Everything stays on these hangers so easily. I also love having uniform hangers because it helps keep the look clean.
Space Saving Clothes Hangers
These hangers turn your regular hangings into waterfall hangers. You can essentially fit six pieces in the same amount of space as one item. I love these for things like tanks, body suits, sports bras, etc. I usually avoid using them for bulkier items but it's truly personal preference.
Closet Organization Hacks
Hangers are a great way to organize your closet, but they aren't the only way. I like using a mixture of hangers, bins, baskets, shelves and other miscellaneous products that organize and elevate my space.
Large Storage Baskets
These storage bags are so stinking cute and are great for any items that you may choose not to hang. Some examples are scarves, shorts, workout clothes, etc. I have built in shelves in my closet and these are a much better option than just folding clothing and attempting to stack it. However, if you don't have shelves, they can work on the floor of your closet as well!
Motion Sensor Light
If you're lucky enough to have a walk in closet, these motion sensor lights really elevate your space and make it feel luxurious. If you don't have the ability to set off a motion sensor light, you could always opt for the same lights that you click on when you are looking for something in your closet.
Clothes Storage Bag Organizer
I am a huge fan of swapping out my clothes for the current season. However, I am scared to store my clothes in my basement because I have ruined a number of things in the past. If your space allows, these are great for folding and storing clothes for an off season and keeping them in your closet until you're ready to hang them again.
Acrylic Storage Bins
Would this be one of my blog posts if I didn't suggest utilizing acrylics bins?? These would be perfect for any odds and ends items that don't have a home. They would work well on shelves or on the floor of the closet. They are a nice alternative to the baskets above if you like to see what you have.
Closet Organizer Shelves
All of these closet organization products are designed to help you keep your space tidy and functional. I use my clothing closets every single day and regardless of how disciplined I am, they can be difficult to keep organized.
I am a huge fan of anything that can assist with keeping things tidy and that elevate the space.
Be sure to leave a comment below if there are other items you would find helpful in keeping your closet organized! I'm always looking for new ways to maintain this space.
