Do you need a functional work space in your home? These are the top home office essentials I swear by!
Within the last few years I started working from home almost full time. When we moved into this house, we were lucky enough to have a third bedroom that we decided to set up as an office. However, we had barely items that would make a home office functional.
I started with the bare minimum like a "desk", computer and a basic chair. Once we realized that we would be home close to full time I realized I needed to step our space up a few notches.
I thankfully was able to do some research on the essential items for a home office and now feel like I really have a space that I can work in successfully. Thankfully, Amazon has literally anything and everything you could possibly need for an office space.
The majority of these items I truly couldn't do without, but some of them simply improve the space and make it more enjoyable to work in.
This post is all about home office essentials!

Home Office Essentials Amazon
Per usual, I go to amazon for the majority of the items I have in my home office because they have a ton of affordable options. This way you can choose the aesthetic you are going for without breaking the bank. I got some of these items for the desk at my office and when I realized how helpful they were I expanded on them to improve my space at home!
Engriy Writing Computer Desk
This desk has been SO nice to have. I was originally working off of a small table we had that barely fit my one monitor and laptop. Now I have two screens, my laptop, keyboard etc. and have plenty of space. The two shelves on the left have been great for storing various items. I love the simple industrial style as well because it matches so many other pieces of furniture.
Furmax Mid Back Task Chair
When I was first setting up our office this was the exact type of chair I was looking for. It is super inexpensive and easy to put together. Overall it is comfortable and worth the price. There are similar options with arm rests of that is more what you are looking for but I would happily recommend this chair.
Logitech Pebble M350 Wireless Mouse
When it comes to a wireless mouse there are a million different options. However, I have loved all of my logitech products. As long as the mouse is wireless, I really don't think you can go wrong. I like the minimalist look of this model and it is super affordable.
BESIGN LS03 Aluminum Laptop Stand
Speaking of ergonomics, a computer stand is an absolute must. It is really hard to have good posture while sitting at a desk but its so important. Having a computer stand so your laptop is eye level for you is not only important but pretty life changing as well. You will be surprised with how much better your neck and shoulders feel after using one.
HP ENVY 6055e
Purchasing this printer was one of the best decisions I made for my office. We always used to rely on printing things at work or at a friends house. However, this was such a great purchase because of how many things we can do with it. Its wireless and you can print from your computer or phone. You can also scan, copy, etc. Also HP has their instant ink program so I never run out of ink!
The items above are extremely helpful in keeping your desk and devices clean. The item on the left is for your screens. You spray on the solution and then use the sides to wipe the screen clean. It won't scratch your screen and gets rid of dust and finger prints.
The item in the middle has a brush for your keyboard and the other end is a microfiber towel to remove smudges from your keyboard and screens. And lastly, the item on the right is a mini vacuum. Yes, you read that correctly. This will quickly pick up dust and crumbs from your desk! How cute is that.
When it comes to smaller various items for your office, this is where you can really customize your space. You can determine if you like to stick to one aesthetic or if you are simply looking for quality. I love having pens I enjoy writing with, a cute notebook with good paper and organization products that match the look I'm going for. Some of my favorites are linked above!
Overall, I truly enjoy working from home and having a space I enjoy going to every morning. When my space is set up well and organized I truly believe it helps me have a productive day. This post summarizes the items that I have and have been working for me. However, if this simply serves as inspiration for your space then that is also great!
I believe if you invest in your space, you won't be sorry. Whether you are working from home part time or full time, you can certainly benefit from a functional space. And although this post covers the essentials, you can also decorate the space to enjoy it even more!
