Are you in need of some new decor items for your living room? I love redecorating or adding a few new pieces in the Spring time because it feels like a great time to reset for the year.
For my living room, I usually tend to stick to more modern pieces. Modern design focuses on a monochromatic color pallet, clean lines, minimalism and natural light. I tend to stay away from bright colors or funky decor pieces for this room.
The areas I focus on for decor are the mantel, the coffee table, the bookshelf and wall art. I like to incorporate pieces like candle sticks, vases, books, candles and more for this room.
I am never one to spend a ton of money on decor. My goal is to find items that are inspired by higher end pieces at an affordable price.
In this post I will share some of my favorites and also some pieces I am looking to purchase in the future! All of these items are affordable and easily accessible.

Ceramic Vase Set of 3
This set of three vases is such a great find! I love finding smaller pieces to sprinkle around the living room on places like the mantel, end tables or bookshelves. They look great with a filler or by themselves. These would be great if you have hanging shelves you are looking to style as well.
Set of 2 White Ceramic Flower Vase
These modern flower vases are to die for. I love that they're a unique shape that give any area some dimension. Adding some pampas would give your living room a light and airy look. They are super minimal while also giving a different feel.
Crutello Minimalist White Ceramic U Style Vase
Ok, I absolutely love the shape of these. I would honestly style them just like the picture! These would be great on the mantel or even as bookends on your bookshelf. I love that they are a unique shape while also sticking to the minimalist feel.
White Pampas Grass
If you don't like having fresh flowers or greenery in your house, these fake pampas are for you! They look great in honestly any vase and give the room an airy yet cozy feel. These are very in right now but honestly I don't see them going out of style!
Matte Black Candle Holders
These matte black candle sticks are perfect. I love the slim look. I would put some white candles in these and put them on my mantel. You can keep all three of them together or you can separate them. They are super simple but give your mantel a nice dimensional look.

If matte black isn't your look, these gold candle sticks are gorgeous. I think a pop of gold is a great way to add some color without going too crazy. Gold goes with so many other looks that you really can't go wrong. I would stick to white candles with these!

I just saw these tic tac toe boards recently and I am so into them. They are great for your coffee table! I think kids and adults would love to use it, but even if its not touched, it's a great addition to coffee table decor. The wooden look makes it a good fit for any living room.

Although I'm not a huge fan of a lot of wall art, this has been on my Amazon wish list for a long time! It is neutral and plays off of dried pampas feel. I love when wall art is split into multiple pieces to cover more surface area. This would be perfect behind a couch!
As I mentioned previously, I am a huge fan of finding decor pieces that fit my budget (which is never a lot when it comes to decor).
I absolutely love searching Amazon, Target, Home Goods and other affordable stores for high end looking pieces at a cheaper price point.
Minimalist and modern decor is my go-to for my living room because I like to keep it light and airy.
The main goal when it comes to achieving a modern look in your living room is to stick to fewer pieces that fit a neutral color pallet. However, you can still have fun picking these pieces out and making them your own!
