I am a firm believer that the most important organization solutions start with planning.
Getting thoughts, dates, priorities and more down on paper will help clear your mind and give you a set of tasks you can refer back to. This helps you to stay on track and accomplish your lists quickly and effectively. Whether you implement one of these solutions (or all five) into your weekly routine, you are bound to see improvements in your overall effectiveness.

1. Meal Planning & Grocery List
Looking for a solution to planning your meals and grocery shopping? This planner is a game changer.
One of the biggest issues people have is over-buying at the store which is not only expensive but can lead to waste. This planner allows you to decide what meals you would like to have for the week while creating the list of ingredients to the right.
You can also look through your fridge and pantry before shopping to see if there is anything you already have! You can tear off the list to the right so you can put the menu on your refrigerator for the week. Then you have an easy list to work off of while shopping.
When planning your meals the weekend before, you can see which days you’ll be home to eat and which nights you might be eating out. This way you are not planning more meals than you can successfully cook and eat.
I find that the most successful weeks when it comes to cooking and making sure I use the food in my fridge and pantry are the weeks I utilize this tool!
2. Daily Planner
This daily planner is highly recommended when it comes to a day you are looking to accomplish a large number of tasks. Sometimes we get that cleaning and organizing bug and this is a great way to list out the things you need or want to get done.
One of my favorite parts of this planner is that you start the day off with a bit of gratitude. It helps get you in the right mindset to tackle all of your tasks. It also helps prioritize your day! Begin listing things that you know you want to accomplish that day.
Then you have a spot where you can list out any appointments you might have scheduled. If there is an errand you know you need to check off your list, you can treat it as an appointment. If you set a time to the errand you’re more likely to stick to it.
Now we get to the fun part, the to-do list. This is where you can brainstorm! These can be items you want to accomplish by the end of the day, but here is where you set your bar really high. If you don’t accomplish everything, you can just move it to another day!
Below you can get into the nitty-gritty details (which I love). You can track your hydration for the day, your meals and your exercise. This can come in handy when you’re having a really busy day because sometimes these tasks fall to the wayside.
Lastly, there is a notes & doodles section which is great place to get anything else down onto paper that may be clouding your thoughts. And when the day is done, there is a spot to fill out your achievements for the day. This is great way to reflect on what you have completed which gives you a sense of accomplishment.
When we feel accomplished, we are more likely to come back to this practice!
3. Weekly Planner
Ok I know what you’re thinking – this looks like a lot like the daily planner. And you’re right! There are a lot of elements to this planner that seem repetitive, but trust me. This weekly planner serves a different overall purpose.
When it comes to the daily planner, you are looking at a specific day of your week. You would want to utilize this the most when you have a busy day ahead, or have free time that you are looking to use productively.
This weekly planner gives you a snapshot of your whole week at once. I recommend setting time aside on every Sunday to sit and plan your week. If time allows, this is a great time to also plan your meals and grocery list for the week.
Now that your weekly planner is set up, you can refer back to it all week long. Ask yourself – did I stick to my plan? Remember – this is just a tool and is not set in stone. The design of this planner is meant to assist you, not to stress you out. Focus on the priorities section for tasks that need to get done this week, and you can move anything else!
For the weekly planner, I enjoy seeing what habits I set out to accomplish and it is extremely satisfying to recap at the end of the week and see if you hit your goals. Once again we have that reflection piece that allows us to look back at the week and see if there is any room for improvement. If not, then you can take a moment of gratitude for a productive week!

4. Journal
Up until this point, a lot of the organization solutions in this list focus on structure. And although that can be very helpful, it might not be for everyone all of the time. As mentioned previously, our thoughts can stand in the way of staying organized.
This journal is simply a lined notebook that allows you to write whatever you’d like. You can journal about the week you had, what might be stressing you out and more. You can also use it for a place to store lists of things you might want to accomplish in the future.
For example, if you have rooms in your house you know you want to decorate but you can’t afford all of the pieces right now, this may be a good place to list out what you’d like and how much it costs. This way you can work toward that goal over a number of months.
Another example is when you have a space in your house that you know you need to declutter but it isn’t in your plan for the coming week. Getting a plan down on paper for the future can help free up your mind to focus on other tasks.
There is a lot of power in journaling. It is therapeutic in so many ways! Having a notebook that holds any number of thoughts in one place can be a great tool.
5. Habit Tracker
Looking to see the effects of a strong routine? This tracker is a phenomenal way list out what habits you are setting out to work on and track your progress. They say it takes 21 days to create a new habit! Here you can set goals for yourself and see a month’s progress at a time.
If you didn’t hit a goal the previous month, you can move it to the next month. Or if you were successful the first month, pick a new habit! There is so much power in a routine that once these habits become second nature to you, you have more free time to focus elsewhere.
When it comes to making something a habit, motivation is key. I love this tracker because there are inspirational quotes throughout that remind you why it is important to stick to your goals. And let’s be honest – tracking your habits is a habit in itself right? It might seem overwhelming at first, but remember that consistency is key. And that what this tracker is all about!
