I absolutely love traveling but not without these travel essentials! These items make packing and traveling so much easier and help keep you organized!
Traveling can be stressful, there's no doubt about it. However, there are so many things that can help make the process of traveling, packing and unpackaging so much easier.
I'm sure this comes as no surprise, but I am all for items that make my life easier and keep me organized.
I think it is super helpful to spend some extra time prepping for a trip so that when the time comes, you can focus on the trip itself instead of worrying about whether or not you have everything you need.
This post will cover all of the items that I use when I travel that help me feel prepared and stress free. And as always, they were available on Amazon so you can make sure they are in your possession before your next trip!
This post is all about travel essentials!
Travel Essentials List
There are obviously a ton of items I could list out for travel. However, I want this post to focus on the items that you may not know about or think about when traveling. Instead of listing things like clothes and toiletries you may need, I am going to highlight some items that can help you keep those things organized. I will also mention my must-haves that simply make packing and traveling easier.
Here are some items that I honestly can't travel without...
- Travel Size Toiletry Kit
- Jewelry Organizer
- Packing Cubes
- Portable Charger
- Makeup Case
- Luggage Scale
- Hot Tools Pouch
- Water Bottle
- Travel Poo-Pourri
I find myself hopping on Amazon before most trips to do some research and see if there is anything else I can snag that will improve the process of packing and traveling. This post will cover the items that were a total win.
Travel Essentials Amazon
Travel Bottles Set for Toiletries
I am a huge fan of this set of travel bottles for your toiletries. Some kits only come with bottles for your shampoo and conditioner, but this one takes it to the next level. A lot of the time it doesn't make sense to bring full skincare items and I love that this one comes with smaller capsules and a spatula for skincare products.
Jewelry Organizer
This jewelry organizer is a life saver. I'm not kidding when I say I used to throw all of my jewelry in an old Ipsy bag and everything would get tangled and frankly ruined over time. This keeps everything organized and lets you see what you have so you make sure you don't over pack. I would buy this over and over again.
Packing Cubes
These packing cubes are a total game changer. I am normally a pretty organized packer when it comes to my suitcase. But over the length of my trip, my suitcase becomes a nightmare. This helps me organize my outfits by type so everything is easy to find and then I can use them for dirty clothes when it's time to come home. They also help with over packing!
Makeup Case
I had never had a real travel makeup case until I bought this one. It is the absolute best. There is a spot for brushes, pallets and the compartments can be resizes to fix your products. I stuff this thing with everything I could possibly need and still end up having space. It is super durable so you never have to worry about makeup getting ruined if you include it in your checked bag. This is a must!
Luggage Scale
Although I have tried to work on over packing over the years, I'm far from perfect lol. I'm always nervous my checked bag is going to be over the weight limit. And trust me, no one wants an extra charge when traveling. This device makes it so easy to weigh your bag while you are packing so you can adjust before getting to the airport.
Mat/Pouch for Hot Tools
This mat/case for hot tools is amazing. Not only can you place it on the counter to protect the surface for while you are using your curler or straightener, but you can throw your item in it while it's still hot so you can pack it up before it cools down. It comes in a ton of colors and is super light.
Travel Essentials Carry-On
Portable Charger
I have owned so many portable chargers over the year but I would buy this again if I needed to. It is definitely on the pricier side but is worth every penny. I have gotten more than five full iPhone charges out of this before I had to recharge it. It is perfect for long flights because you don't have to worry about it dying on you.
Brumate Water Bottle
Obviously you can use any water bottle for travel, but this one is my favorite option. I am a huge Brumate fan and this print is everything. I love this one because the water stays cold for so long. I also love that it has the carabiner and the straw top. It is 100% leakproof which I find necessary because I feel like the rest of my water bottles always leak. It's also 25 oz so you don't have to worry about always refilling it.
Some other items I make sure I don't travel without in my carry-on are Lysol wipes, lip balm, travel size deodorant, headphones, gum, ibuprofen, hand sanitizer, etc. As I mentioned previously, I tend to think of what scenarios may arise and try to include things in my carry-on that could be helpful. My motto is always to be over prepared than under prepared. However, always remember that in case of an emergency, you can grab whatever you may need either in the airport or at your location when you get there.
I hope this travel essentials list inspires you to find ways to relieve some stress about packing and traveling for your next trip!
As I mentioned before, my goal is always to look for ways to simplify the process so that I can spend more time enjoying my trip!
